gestalt therapy

Gestalt Therapy emphasizes personal agency in the here-and-now. Through bringing our awareness into the present moment, we are no longer trapped by the past or the future, and are able to make choices in service of our present selves. 

somatic experiencing

SE is a body-based approach to resolving trauma. By increasing body awareness and build capacity for self-regulation, SE supports the integration of past traumatic experiences to create more freedom and choice in one’s present moment experience. 

transpersonal psychology

Transpersonal Psychoplogy integrates spiritual and psychological practices to foster personal growth, self-realization. and our connection to something greater, be it through mindfulness, meditation, ritual, journaling, or creative expression.

  • At this time, I do not accept insurance.

    As an Out-of-Network (OON) provider, I am able to provide you with a monthly Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses.

    Please contact your insurance company directly for information regarding your eligibility and reimbursement rates.

    Here are some questions you can ask your insurance company:

    1. Do I have out-of-network benefits?

    2. What is my deductible?

    3. At what percentage will I be reimbursed?

    If you choose this option, please note that a mental health diagnosis is required and will be listed on your Superbill.

  • My policy is 24 business hours of notice if you need to cancel or reschedule prior to our scheduled session.

    For example, if we meet on a Monday, I ask that you notify me by your appointment time on Friday.

    If you cancel within the 24-hour window, I charge the regular fee for the session, because it’s time that I’ve set aside specifically for you and scheduled others around.

    If major sickness or life events happen, I am happy to discuss whether it feels appropriate to charge or not on a case-by-case basis.

  • I typically find it most effective for a new client to come weekly for at least the first month. This allows us to gain clarity around what’s going on and form a strong foundation for our work together.

    The duration of therapy is ultimately different for each person. Some people may choose to come for months, while others might find benefit in coming for years. We can discuss this in our sessions together, and assess what feels right for you based on your goals and needs.

  • After we schedule a session, I will email you the initial paperwork through your client portal. It will come from Night Sky Psychotherapy via Simple Practice.

    Please complete the paperwork at least 24 hours prior to our session. If we are meeting virtually, you will receive a link to our session. Once you’ve completed the initial paperwork, there is nothing else you need to do.
