My speciality is in working with young adults through an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens.
With all of my clients, my hope is to create a welcoming and honest space for you to explore, integrate and make meaning of past experiences, so that you can contact greater clarity, possibility and joy in the present.
I support clients with a number of issues - including, but not limited to:
the persistent experience of anxiety and depression
the grief around the loss of a loved one, an identity, or the state of the world
making meaning and navigating major life transitions such as a breakup or a career shift, a move across country and away from established support and familiarity
ongoing challenges with a particular relationship dynamic such as a sibling, a friend, a parent or a romantic partner
spiritual crisis stemming from religious trauma or the witnessing or direct experience of power misused within a spiritual community
the journey of healing and reconnecting to one’s own power following sexual assault or violence
processing ecological grief and finding deeper connection to the natural world
identifying and gaining confidence in their unique ability to contribute to the world
the persistent symptoms and challenges associated with a head injury (TBI)
exploring intimacy and deepening the sense of connection and satisfaction found in relationships
cultivating self-awareness and gaining clarity
In our work together, I customize my approach to you - most often drawing on my training in gestalt therapy, mindfulness, and other body-based modalities. In addition to my professional training, I often bring in other “tools” that I have found healing such as nature, yoga, meditation, writing and various forms of creative expression.
