Frequently Asked Questions
What are your fees?
My fee is $150 for 60 minutes and $185 for 75 minutes.
I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots for clients who cannot afford my full fee.
If you are curious about working together but are concerned about the cost, please reach out and we can discuss this in our complimentary consultation call.
Who do you work with?
For individual clients and couples, I work with adults (18+) across Colorado.
I welcome all cultures, gender identities and sexual orientations into my practice.
I am able to provide services in English and Spanish.
What does starting therapy look like?
While I find it is ultimately helpful for both myself and the client to meet weekly for the first month of working together, I want this process to work for you.
Some clients prefer the routine and support of weekly sessions. For other clients weekly sessions do not feel possible, and coming every other week or every third week for an hour or 75-minute session feels more manageable.
For couples, my preference is that our first session be 75-minutes long, allowing for a more thorough intake and chance to hear both partners voices. Following our first session, I am flexible to work at whatever time increment feels possible with your budget and busy schedules.
How do I pay?
I use an online system called Simple Practice that makes paying with a debit card, credit card or your HSA account easy and secure.
Can you accept my insurance?
At this time I am not in-network with any insurance plan, and full payment for sessions is due at the time of service.
For those using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. (Please note that a diagnosis is required as part of the superbill paperwork).
What is a superbill and how do I find out if my insurance will it?
A superbill is a document that therapists can give to clients after sessions to help them seek reimbursement from their insurance companies.
To find out if you have out-of-network benefits, call the number on the back of your health insurance card and ask them the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
How much of my deductible has been met this year?
What is my policy period?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens! I ask people to let me know at least 24 hours ahead of time if they will need to reschedule or cancel our appointment. If you cancel within the 24-hour window, I typically charge the regular fee for the session, because it’s time that I’ve set aside specifically for you and scheduled others around. If there is an extraordinary life event, I am happy to discuss with you whether it’s appropriate to charge or not.
How does your sliding scale rate work?
I reserve limited spaces at which I can offer therapy at a reduced rate. As of April 2025: my sliding scale spots are full.
